What is the race cancellation policy?
THE RACE IS STILL ON!
Weather, emergencies, or other issues of public safety may cause cancellation or postponement of the Event(s), outside of the control of event management. In the instance of an unforeseen event cancellation, a majority of event expenses have already incurred. Should such event cancellation or postponement occur, specific protocol for allocating participant registration fees would be communicated to participants and would specify participant response time within a limited time window following the cancellation to allow for adequate management action.
In the event the race is canceled due to weather, emergencies, or other issues of public safety, Margaritaville Run will switch all entries to virtual and mail all runner items to the shipping address provided at registration.
Where should I park for the Margaritaville Run?
Margaritaville Run – Orlando participants can park at the Promenade at Sunset Walk area. Please use this address for parking directions in your GPS – 3251 Margaritaville Blvd, Kissimmee, FL 34747). Parking is free of charge. Please obey all posted no parking signs and restrictions and do not block driveways. Once parked, walk approximately one quarter of the mile to the resort entrance at 8000 Fins Up Cir, Kissimmee, FL 34747.
On-site registrations and packet pick up (on race morning only) will be located at the lobby inside the Margaritaville Resort Orlando. Please note, we recommend arriving at least
1 HOUR prior to your run to allow time to find parking, get to the start line and warm up.
We encourage participants to explore and visit all of the shopping and dining options the Promenade has to offer!
Participants who are staying at Margaritaville Resort Orlando:
Self-parking is included with the Resort Fee. Valet is an additional $35 plus tax per night. Guests and visitors are only permitted to park in the two parking spaces in front of the Cottage as per the community by-laws. Parking along the side of the street or on the pavement or sidewalk is strictly prohibited.
What is the course time limit?
5K: We support good times, not just fast times. Both the 10K & 5K event will have a time limit of 90-minutes. Plenty of time to complete the distance whether you run, walk, or stroll!
10K: The 10K follows the same course as the Half Marathon, which has a 3 hour 30 minute time limit. If participants are slower than that pace, they may be redirected around mile 9 to shorten the course by about 1 mile.
Can I transfer my bib to another person?
You may transfer your bib to another participant for a $15 transfer fee. Email info@margaritavillerun.com to complete this transfer.
Is there an age minimum for the 5k run?
Yes, participants must be 7 years or older to participate.
Can I run in the 5K with a jogging stroller?
Yes, however strollers are strongly discouraged. For the safety of other runners and walkers, you will be asked to start in the ‘fun’ wave at the back of the corrals and remain with other participants who also have strollers.
Strollers are not advised for the longer events (i.e., the 10K or the Half Marathon).
Please be courteous and careful around other runners.
Can my family and friends watch me cross the finish line?
Spectators are able to watch the finish anywhere along the finish line venue on Parrot Event Lawn at the Margaritaville Resort Orlando. The finish lines will be clearly visible once spectators enter the event venue.
Will there be a bag check?
Gear check will be available starting at 6:00 AM at the Parrot Event Lawn Area. Give yourself extra time to drop off the bags before you line up to start. Attach your gear check tag to your bag prior to drop off. You must show your bib number to retrieve checked bags. The race is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please travel light and leave valuables at home.
Is there be any entertainment or a happy hour before or after the race?
Each live Margaritaville Run event will host a pre-race runner happy hour and post-race entertainment. Details regarding each event’s offerings will be announced as they are confirmed and will be available on the event website in the entertainment section.

Will there be awards for the Margaritaville Run live events?
Yes! Awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers overall in the post-race Awards Ceremony.
Age Division Award shot glasses will be awarded to the top 3 finishers according to each age group. Age group awards will NOT be presented in the Awards Ceremony. Please pick-up age group awards at the conclusion of the race from 9:00am-11:00am at the expo awards table.
Award winner MUST pick up their award prior to the conclusion of the event. Awards will NOT be mailed post event.
What are the Award divisions?
Age groups are as follows: 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ age groups. Overall winners will be excluded from age group awards.
What are my refund options for this race purchase?
All entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE, no exceptions. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You may transfer your entry to another person for $15. Contact us at info@margaritavillerun.com for instructions on how to transfer your registration to another runner.
How can I volunteer for the Margaritaville Run Series?
Not a runner but still want to participate in the festivities? Make new friends, support your community, and have a great time! All volunteers receive light refreshments and a commemorative t-shirt. Email info@margaritavillerun.com if interested.
